Planning
When preparing a layout there are several items that need to be taken into account. The information below, serves as a "check-list" to ensure that all of the major aspects are considered when planning:
Measuring the Site:
It is very important to measure the site to know exactly what the ceiling height will be in in specific locations. The range of heights between floor & ceiling is crucial. This is required to make sure that our unsurpassed +/- 2 inch height range adjustment can accommodate any the site conditions in the floor or ceiling.
Ceiling Type:
Knowing the ceiling type (drywall, ceiling tile, other) is important in order to specify the proper hardware to attach the top channel to the ceiling.
Wall
Modularity:
Elevations of all typical walls sections must be supplied indicating the dimensions of all glazing, door and solid wall segments.
Floor Type:
Different floor finishes (carpet on concrete, tile on concrete, carpet on raised, other) require different types of hardware to mount the floor channel to the floor. The floor surface must be identified prior to specifying a layout.
Doors:
Drawings must indicate door style, size and finish.
Electrical, Data & Communications:
All drawings must indicate location of all electrical/data outlets as required.
